Our history
Alexandre and Laura, a French-Mexican couple passionate about Mexico, created Horizons Mexicains to share their love of this country with you.
Drawing on our expertise and the support of our local network, we offer tailor-made trips designed to help you discover the authentic Mexico.
In 2025, we expanded our horizons to Costa Rica and Argentina, two countries that fascinate us. Our goal is to make these two destinations, which are still relatively unknown, more accessible, particularly the lesser-known regions.
Laura
Originally from the state of Veracruz, Laura grew up immersed in Mexico's rich culture. She studied at
the University of Xalapa, studying tourism and business management before coming to France in 2016 and meeting Alexandre. Proud of her country, she has always wanted to promote it through tourism.
As a Mexican, Laura has unique expertise about the country. Having grown up and lived in Mexico, she knows every corner of the country and its local customs. It is this in-depth knowledge that she shares with you through Mexican Horizons.
The trips and experiences that left a lasting impression on her:
- The beauty and diversity of nature in the Riviera Maya.
- The posadas before Christmas in his hometown.
- The mystical atmosphere that reigns at the archaeological site of Teotihuacán near Mexico City.
Alexandre
Originally from Île-de-France, Alexandre Martain settled in Nantes after taking his first professional steps in the field of data mining in Le Havre. Captivated by Mexico's cultural richness and diverse landscapes, Alexandre quickly fell in love with the country. It was during his first trip that the idea of creating Horizons Mexicains was born.
After studying urban planning and pursuing a career in digital transformation consulting, he decided to put his expertise to work for his passions by creating Horizons Mexicains. His professional background has allowed him to develop a keen sense of organization, listening, and support, essential qualities for offering you a tailor-made trip to Mexico.
Accompanied by his wife Laura, Alexandre continues to explore the riches of this country that has captivated him so much.
